My name is Monica Panepento and I am a Performance Marketing Analyst here at KLIK. I joined KLIK in May of 2020 after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park. It’s been a fun year and a half since joining KLIK so follow along for a glimpse of what I do each day!
For me, every morning starts with coffee. Sometimes multiple cups. But after that, it depends on the day of the week. The team has started going back into our office part time so I spend my Mondays and Tuesdays in our office in Arlington, VA and Wednesdays through Fridays at my apartment in DC.
When I’m in the office, I commute on the metro from West End in DC down to our office in Ballston. Recently, the December weather has made the mornings very cold but once I’m at the office, we have some nice holiday decorations to bring some seasonal cheer.
On the days I am working from home, I get up early with my 4 month old puppy that I adopted in November. We walk to the dog park near my apartment so he can run around and burn some of his endless puppy energy before I hunker down for work. Sometimes, he tries to help me answer slack messages before he goes to take his morning nap.
I work on our performance team on social platforms across a variety of clients. Since joining KLIK, I have gotten to work on a lot of clients, each in different capacities but with something new every time. I love that I have gotten to work across many different industries and social platforms, it keeps my day-to-day exciting as no single day is the exact same.
The first tasks on my list each morning are to check in on all the accounts I manage to ensure budgets and goals are being hit. I am the most focused in the mornings so this is when I get the most done and I can deep dive on any account that may need some extra attention that day. Once I feel like my accounts are set for the day, I move on to prep for any meetings I may have and work on longer term projects. Some of these projects include researching new test areas for clients, working on new ways to analyze data and performance, and working on cross-team committees. My favorite of these is the fun committee where I just helped plan a gift exchange for the holidays.
My Favorite Part of My Job
I have really enjoyed being back in the office a couple days a week. While I love my puppy, talking to him about something crazy that happened that day isn’t the same as telling my coworkers. Our office environment is very open, making it super easy to catch up with everyone after the weekend or form a quick game of ping pong. Plus, with a Starbucks super close to the office, I can always find someone to grab a cup of coffee with.
I’m looking forward to 2022 with the KLIK team and I’m so excited to continue growing with the team as we become the best agency in the world.
